The fabric is infinitely recyclable and is hyper-resistant to chlorine, sunscreen and oil. ECONYL® is a great alternative to other swimwear fabrics, as with every 10.000 tons of the material, we are able to save 70.000 barrels of crude oil and avoid 65.100 tons of CO2 emissions!
All of  Save The Wave's fabrics are certified by STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®, by The Higg Index and The Global Recycle Standard (GRS). The garments are ethically made in Bali, Indonesia in a facility that guarantees fair wages and benefits, no child labor, no forced labor, health and safety standards, and more complying to The Higg Index. The mission of Save The Wave's manufacturer is to produce as close as humanly possible organic fabrics, organic dyes, bio-degradable packaging, ensuring zero water pollution as well as donating all left-over fabric scraps to a local charity, Bali Street Mums.

Save The Wave is dedicated to all the women who understand that sustainability is sexy and want to make a change. The brand was founded in December 2020 by Russian born and Amsterdam based Svetlana and is an active advocate for ocean preservation. In her own words: "Save The Wave is more than just fashionable swimwear. It is the way you make a statement to the world, that you DO CARE!
